Green Delivers White Boards To Maui Victims So They Can Write Down Their Needs

KAHULUI—On Sunday, in a demonstration of leadership, Governor (and Doctor) Josh Green delivered 5,000 white boards and 15,000 dry erase markers to local residents affected by the Maui fires.

"After several days of walking around with other important people, my administration is having a hard time figuring out what the people of Maui need," said Green in a press statement. "I had all these white boards laying around my office, so I hired some traveling nurses to pack them up and send them over."

Also a doctor, Green says he didn't do well in his triage classes in medical school. "I should have paid more attention," he said regretfully, "so I could figure out what the people urgently need. But with my popular white boards, they can write their needs in multiple colors, underlining the most important items."

House District 13 representative Mahina Poepoe took time away from photo opportunities to applaud Green's efforts via her own written statement: "The people of Hawaii can't do anything without us in government leadership. We've trained them good. But in times of desperation, sometimes we have to let them speak out."

As of press time, helicopters delivering supplies were having a hard time landing anywhere near those in need due to blinding white light reflecting the sun on the white boards.
